Empowering African Entrepreneurs (EAE) is thrilled to announce the launch of the EAE Coursera Scholarship Program exclusively for Bemint Alumni. This scholarship aims to equip alumni with world-class skills, empowering them to advance in their chosen career paths and become future leaders in the fields of technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

The EAE Coursera Scholarship Program is set to provide access to globally recognized Coursera courses across a variety of in-demand fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Web Development, Blockchain, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership. With a focus on real-world application and career development, the program will support alumni in enhancing their expertise and building critical skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

Program Overview

The EAE Coursera Scholarship is designed to select a total of 50 participants from the Bemint Alumni community, offering them the opportunity to complete specialized online courses within a 6-week learning period. The courses are curated to cater to three key categories:

  1. Bemint Alumni Developers Category
  2. Bemint Alumni Entrepreneurial Category
  3. Bemint Alumni Marketers Category

With 10-20 participants selected from each category, the scholarship program will focus on helping them develop skills that align with their professional goals.

Course Offerings

Participants will have the opportunity to choose from the following Coursera courses:

  • AI Basics for Everyone
  • Back End Web Developer
  • Blockchain Basics for Everyone
  • Design for Front-End Web Developers
  • Digital Marketing Basics for Everyone
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Everyone
  • Product Marketing Manager
  • Purpose Leadership for Everyone

Eligibility & Selection Process

The program is exclusively for Bemint Alumni, aged 18-25 years, who have shown a commitment to learning and personal growth. The selection process will be highly competitive, comprising:

  1. Application Period: Alumni will submit an online application form within one week.
  2. Application Review: After submission, applications will be reviewed over a 3-day period, with 70 top candidates selected to proceed to the interview stage.
  3. Interview Call: Shortlisted candidates will participate in a 10-minute Google Meet interview, where they will present their motivations and goals. They will also receive a link to complete an assessment test.
  4. Final Selection: Based on interview performance and test results, 50 participants will be selected and onboarded to begin their Coursera courses.

The scholarship program will kick off on October 7, 2024, and participants will be expected to complete their courses within 6 week

The application window for the EAE Coursera Scholarship Program opens on September 16, 2024. All Bemint Alumni are encouraged to apply by filling out the online application form within the stipulated one-week period.
